The Best Off-Roading Features on the New 2017 Toyota 4Runner

The 2017 Toyota 4Runner boasts the space, premium materials, and modern technology for family transportation both in the suburbs of Brooksville and the busy city streets of Spring Hill, FL. But it also easily muscles through off-road adventures around Citrus County with features like the following: Photo: Toyota.com more When starting from a steep incline, Hill Start Assist Control momentarily holds the 4Runner stationary as you move your foot from the brake pedal to accelerator. This means you won’t find yourself slowly rolling down the slope like some mossy boulder. To maximize your grip on rough terrain, two 4-Wheel Drive systems are available on the new 4Runner. The SR5 with 4WD and the TR Off-Road rely on part-time 4WD with Active Traction Control (A-TRAC). The 4Runner Limited model comes with 4WD, which gets full-time capability through A-TRAC and a Torsen® limited-slip center differential. The locking rear differential is electronically controlled to evenly distribute engine power to both rear wheels. Even if one is off the ground, they both move at the same speed, so you maintain a predictable pace over challenging obstacles on the road and off the beaten path. To adjust your Toyota 4Runner’s traction level and engine throttle, twist the Multi-Terrain Select module and choose from four modes that regulate wheel spin. Crawl Control is the 4Runner’s king when it comes to optimizing traction on uneven surfaces; it automatically adjusts the brakes and throttles through five low-speed settings, which keeps surprises to a minimum. The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System also improves traction control thanks to enhanced modulation. Test Out the Impressive New Toyota 4Runner in Homosassa The best way to uncover the advantages of these amazing features for yourself is to take the all-new Toyota 4Runner for a test drive. Although we don’t recommend test driving the 4Runner on the rough trails in Citrus County, you can swing through Dunnellon or Inverness to see what this impeccable Toyota SUV is capable of. Call us at (352) 628-5100 or visit our new and used car dealership at 2431 S Suncoast Blvd to view any of our vehicles, 4Runner or otherwise. 5 Toyota Models That Earned 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Awards

We use our vehicles for everything, from daily work commutes to weekend runs for ice cream. We camp out of them. We drive our kids to soccer practice with them. We let our dogs slobber outside our vehicle’s windows when flooring it up I-98. We love and take care of our cars, and in return, we expect them to care about us. And there’s no better vehicle to rely on than a Toyota. That’s because the engineers at Toyota know how important safety is to every single driver—and these five 2017 Toyota models prove it. All of the below cars and SUVs have not only passed the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) battery of tests, but they’ve also earned places atop the organization’s Top Safety Pick+ list. Bravo! 2017 Toyota Corolla – Photo: Toyota.com Toyota Corolla more If you're looking for an incredibly reliable and comfortable car to commute in every day, the 2017 Corolla has a lot to offer, specifically by providing what you want from a sedan: predictable. This sleek car comes with the standard but incredibly thorough suite of Toyota safety features, including the following: Seven advanced airbags ABS Stability control Daytime running Lights Side mirrors with integrated turn signals Height-adjustable pedals Tow hooks on both ends A convenient system that levels your headlights and alerts you if you're drifting outside your lane. These features even appear in almost all modern Toyota models. 2017 Toyota Prius – Photo: Toyota.com Toyota Prius The overwhelmingly successful Toyota hybrid hatchback has shown its colors again by earning its place as one of the safest vehicles on the road. Following in the steps of the gas-powered Corolla, the Prius comes with all the same standard features, and the automatic systems are displayed on the car’s incredibly handy computer, which is built directly into the spaceship-like dashboard. For a quiet, fuel-efficient and five-star-rated hybrid, the 2017 Prius is your best bet. 2017 Toyota RAV4 – Photo: Toyota.com Toyota RAV4 Slightly larger than a Prius, and with a unique hybrid option, the all-new 2017 RAV4 is perhaps the safest compact SUV available. This Toyota model comes standard with Hill Start Assist, and a supremely functional Trailer Sway Control, allowing it to haul like a full-size SUV without sacrificing the natural efficiency of its smaller crossover frame. 2017 Toyota Camry – Photo: Toyota.com Toyota Camry You've probably seen hundreds and thousands of Camrys around town because this Toyota car is to the road what the Prom King or Queen was to your high school. The 2017 Camry is an aerodynamic sedan that’s equipped with the full suite of safety features, including ten airbags, conveniently accessible lower LATCH anchors, and a lane-departure warning system to help you remain safe while cruise-controlling on long trips or taking the scenic route home after a busy day at work. 2017 Toyota Highlander – Photo: Toyota.com Toyota Highlander One of only three mid-sized SUVs to earn a Top Safety Pick+ stamp, the 2017 Highlander makes for a safe vehicle you and your family can count on. Adventuring in the 2017 Toyota RAV4

Built for your adventurous side, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 stands out as a crossover with premium style, inside and out. This multi-award winner breaks free from the competition thanks to numerous standard features, including some developed for the current year. Let’s check out the latest RAV4, and you’ll soon see why it might just be your next SUV. Photo: Toyota.com What's New in the RAV4? Updates in Toyota’s latest RAV4 model include two new trims: Up your fuel efficiency with the new entry-level RAV4 SE Hybrid, and you’ll be powering past the gas pumps. Stick with the gas engine, and you can climb to the peak of Amenity Hill with the top-of-the-line RAV4 Platinum, which includes a Smart Key System for all five doors, Platinum Protectors for the door sills, a Bird's Eye View Camera, and a foot-activated power liftgate, among other features. more All models now also get Toyota Safety Sense P, which was previously available only on the Limited trim. This suite of driver-assist technologies includes the following: Lane Departure Alert that warns you audio-visually when you drift from your current lane. If you don't take corrective action, Steering Assist keeps you on the straight-and-narrow by nudging the steering. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control that keeps you at a safe distance from the vehicle in front using the speed you set. It automatically speeds up or slows down to take care of changes in traffic flow. Pre-Collision Braking automatically stops your vehicle under specific circumstances or if it's about to hit something or someone. Automatic High Beams switches your high beams to low beams when it detects the headlights of oncoming traffic. When that traffic has passed, the high beams come on again. Photo: Toyota.com Standing Out with Standards Already an outstanding value for the money, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 impresses with a long list of standard features that are usually available on other brands as extra-cost options. Even the entry-level LE trim contains the following pluses: Entune™ Audio system that comes with six speakers, a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth® wireless technology, hands-free phone system, voice recognition, AM/FM radio, CD/MP3/WMA player, and a USB 2.0 port with iPod® control. Backup camera that projects grid lines in real time so that you can easily judge your path and distance to obstacles. Driving modes like ECO (to emphasize fuel efficiency) and Sport (when responsive power is more important). Remote keyless entry system so you never have to take your keys out of your pocket when entering the SUV. Eight cupholders and three front 12-volt power outlets for charging up personal devices. Overhead console with storage for your sunglasses. Hill Start Assist Control for holding the brakes when you start the engine on an incline; it gives you time to move your foot from brake pedal to accelerator without rolling down the slope. Earning Its Awards As proof of its outstanding quality and performance, this new Toyota RAV4 SUV has received plenty of awards: Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (equipped with LED headlamps). Highest 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Best Hybrid SUV for the Money nominee by US News & World Report for the RAV4 Hybrid models. High consumer ratings across the board. Scoping Out the Competition In general, the 2017 Toyota RAV4 offers more standard features than the Honda CR-V, the Nissan Rogue, or the Subaru Forester. The RAV4 also gets higher reliability scores than the Forester and offers slightly better performance than the CR-V. Finally, the RAV4 outsells both the CR-V and Ford Escape, partially due to Toyota's reputation for manufacturing vehicles with greater durability and higher quality (and the standardized Toyota Safety Sense P helps). Go for A Test Drive in Homosassa, FL Don’t just let others bask in the glory of Toyota’s newest all-star SUV—the 2017 RAV4 can be all yours, too! 4 Reasons You'll Love the 2017 Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla has a solid reputation as a reliable, worry-free car—and for good reason. Since they first released it 50 years ago, Toyota has sold more than 43 million Corollas around the world, giving it the right to be called the best-selling vehicle worldwide. But Toyota isn't done yet; they've refreshed the Corolla for 2017, and you'll love what they've done to make their top seller even better. Photo: Toyota.com #1: Outstanding Standard Features more While the Corolla has always had a solid set of standard features, Toyota has taken the 2017 Corolla to new heights.  The list of new standard features includes many additions, like: LED headlights with automatic high beams Redesigned dashboard with a sleek, new instrument panel Adaptive cruise control Smart key entry and keyless engine start/stop Easy access to the trunk with just a touch of a button Upgraded seats New circular air vents Five extra inches of legroom in the rear seats ECO function to improve gas mileage These new standard features give the Corolla a best-in-class look and feel, and some superb and luxurious splashes of modernity to boot.  If you haven't seen a 2017 Corolla yet, you'll want to check out its redesigned, stylish appearance and features at our Homosassa dealership. Photo: Toyota.com #2: New Safety Features The Corolla still has some of the best reliability and crash test ratings in its class, and Toyota has gone a step further by including additional standard safety features that competitors can’t (or don’t) typically match. In fact, most rivals don’t have any advanced safety technologies beyond a rearview camera! The 2017 Corolla comes with an advanced safety package that includes: Radar cruise control: This system detects the speed and distance of the vehicle in front of you and adjusts your speed accordingly, much like Active Cruise Control. Lane departure warning: If you inadvertently leave your lane, this system alerts you with an audible tone and a visual warning. Lane keep assist: If you leave your lane and don't correct your steering, this will gently correct the steering to keep you in your lane. Pre-collision detection: this system scans the road ahead for potential vehicle collisions. Pedestrian detection: the Corolla scans for pedestrians who may come into your path. Emergency braking: If either system detects a potential vehicle or pedestrian crash, they alert you and apply the brakes automatically if necessary. The crash you have the best chance of surviving is the one that never happens. These advanced safety features make the 2017 Toyota Corolla stand out in its class and reflect Toyota's ongoing commitment to driver and passenger safety. Photo: Toyota.com #3: Options Galore If you're looking to go beyond the standard features, the 2017 Corolla has you covered.  The Corolla trim levels offer a full list of extras, including: Heated seats Push-button start Auto-dimming rearview mirror Eight-way power driver’s seat Sunroof Automatic climate control Upgraded navigation package with a 7-inch touchscreen You can also choose the Entune Performance Audio Package, which equips the Corolla with Bluetooth, a USB port, SiriusXM radio, voice activation (after hooking up a smartphone), and navigation. #4: City Driving Perfection City driving is part of what made the Corolla so popular and long-lasting—and it still holds true in 2017. The Corolla is easy to drive and has great sightlines. The tight turning radius means navigating tight spaces, parking, and making U-turns are easy tasks. It stays calm over rough surfaces and can dampen any shock from the road. Combined with its great gas mileage and outstanding reliability, the Corolla makes driving in the city a pleasure. Millions of drivers choose Corolla for its solid reliability, great gas mileage, and thoughtful features. Why don’t you join the sedan’s audience as they applaud Toyota to the first-place podium? Come see for yourself why the 2017 Corolla is one of the world’s best cars. Visit Village Toyota at 2431 S Suncoast Blvd in Homosassa, or call our dealers at (352) 628-5100 to test drive, lease, or purchase the ’17 Corolla. Our 6 Favorite Pieces of Toyota Technology

Toyota has a long history of technological innovation, and things have never been more promising or exciting than they are today. While the company always has quite a bit going on, we at Village Toyota feel these six Toyota technologies, in particular, are ones to watch going forward. Toyota has a long history of technological innovation, and things have never been more promising or exciting than they are today. While the company always has quite a bit going on, we at Village Toyota feel these six Toyota technologies, in particular, are ones to watch going forward. Hybrid Synergy Drive Photo: Toyota-global.com more Toyota's advanced hybrid drivetrain technology is fully computer controlled and is one of the relatively few "full hybrid" systems on the market that allows you to switch power entirely over to the electric motor. The lack of mechanical connection between the engine and its controls means that fuel efficiency is optimized as the internal combustion engine adjusts to match the actual load on the vehicle -- a particular advantage in stop-and-start traffic right here in Citrus County. This technology is employed in a wide range of Toyota's vehicles including the Prius, Camry Hybrid, and a number of different Lexus models. Toyota New Global Architecture Toyota's new modular system for automotive bodies is revolutionary from an efficiency standpoint. From the customer end, however, what's cool about it is how highly customizable the vehicles are going to be thanks to these new manufacturing procedures. TNGA's considerable cost savings and efficiency improvements are also going to translate into both higher quality vehicles and better pricing for buyers. The Toyota Prius is already using this architecture, and the majority of Toyota’s lineup is expected to be shifted over to it by 2020. Entune Photo: Toyota.com Toyota's Entune is the best infotainment system in the automotive business. You can not only control it from your mobile phone or tablet, but it uses your existing data plan so that you don't have to pay any extra subscription fees. You can use Bluetooth to stream your music locally from files downloaded to your device, or stream online through Pandora, iHeartRadio or Slacker. There's also a massive range of apps encompassing pretty much all the major reservation and informational services you can think of, and it's kind of nice to have old-school analog knobs as a control option along with the touch screen. Intelligent Clearance Sonar A December 2016 safety study found that Toyota's sonar parking assistance system reduces reversing accidents by 40% and pedal mishap accidents by a whopping 70%. This system kicks in whenever there is a sudden start, scanning both in front of and behind the vehicle for the presence of solid objects and automatically engaging the brakes if one is detected. The ICS system is available for the 2017 Prius. Kirobo Mini Photo: Toyota-europe.com OK, so it's not technically a vehicle feature, but it's one of the cutest and neatest things ever. Kirobo Mini is a small mascot robot and driving companion from Toyota meant to sit in the cup holder and accompany you during long trips. He'll recognize voice commands and even chat back to you and scan your face to try to read your mood from your current expression, and presumably will also integrate with Entune if you have it. Kirobo becomes available in Japan in late May of 2017, and from there we'll have to see if Toyota rolls him out in other countries. Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Debuting with the 2016 Toyota Mirai, the company's new hydrogen fuel cell system harnesses the power of water for locomotion. And since it runs on water, that's all that comes out of the exhaust pipe! Obviously, this technology is a potential game changer, but widespread adoption will require hydrogen fuel cell stations to be built in a wide enough network to make it feasible for people to travel. Other zero emission technologies are competing with hydrogen for this level of commitment, but this is something to keep a close eye on. The precise and agile handling is the product of years of Toyota success on the track. And it's now in your hands. Toyota knows a great engine when they see it. That's why they partnered with Subaru, putting their powerful and fuel-efficient 2.0-liter, 205-hp BOXER® flat-four under the hood. The BOXER's horizontally opposed cylinders not only maximize performance but also allow the engine to be placed lower in the chassis to improve handling. Trigger the Sport Mode button to tweak throttle characteristics for additional power when you need it. Choose from either a 6-speed manual transmission or Toyota's continuously variable transmission with shift mode (CVTi-S). 2017 Prius Prime Plug-In Hybrid Toyota is making electrifying news in 2017 with the debut of the all-new Prius Prime. Clad in dramatic and head-turning new sheetmetal, the Prius Prime is the product of Toyota's industry-leading hybrid/electric engineering technology. Best of all, it could help you qualify for up to $4,500 in federal tax incentives. Futuristic Exterior Toyota made headlines in 2016 with the completely redesigned Prius lineup. The new 2017 Prius Prime for sale near Brooksville, FL at Village Toyota features Quad-LED projector headlights, distinctive side body fins and a shape sculpted in a wind tunnel to maximize aerodynamic efficiency. A unique active grill shutter closes at high speeds to further improve its exceptional fuel economy. Plus, an innovative carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer rear hatch helps to reduce weight. Remarkable Fuel Economy & Performance What sets this Prius apart from its stablemates is that, unlike them, it is a true plug-in electric/hybrid. In other words, you can charge the Prime's higher-capacity batteries directly using a standard household outlet. Or, if you're on the road, you can take advantage of one of the thousands of charging stations conveniently located across the country. If you know somebody who owns an all-electric vehicle, such as the Tesla, you may encounter what they call "range anxiety." Since these vehicles rely solely on battery power, owner's need to carefully plan to ensure that charging stations are along their route. However, Toyota's proven Hybrid Synergy Drive® eliminates this problem. You can choose to drive in all-electric mode for up to 25 miles, at which point the Prius Prime's peppy gasoline engine kicks in for an extraordinary EPA-estimated* 640-mile total driving range. This combination of Toyota's electric and hybrid dual motor system achieves a remarkable EPA-estimated 133 MPGe.* Modernistic & Spacious Interior On the inside, you'll find the Prius Prime's plush, modernistic, and incredibly quiet interior most accommodating. Premium materials give the Prime's interior a sophisticated and upscale feel. Ample head and legroom, split fold-down rear seats, available heated front seats, and a best-in-class 19.8 cubic feet of cargo space and available deluxe appointments including leather seats are prime reasons why you'll love the Prius Prime's interior. As you would expect, a vehicle as technologically advanced as the Prius features some incredibly innovative technology. For example, an available 11.6-inch HD multimedia display gives you the same type of functionality you're used to on your smartphone or tablet. Pinch, swipe or zoom. You have many ways to control the many features of Toyota's exclusive Entune® App Suite that puts a world of communication, entertainment, navigation, Internet, and social media capabilities at your fingertips. Plus, a color Heads Up Display (HUD) like the kind you'd find on a fighter jet instantly communicates vehicle information, including turn-by-turn navigational prompts, right at eye level on the inside of your windshield. Also, a Multi-Information Display lets you check your Prius Prime's real-time driving data with just a glance. The Future Is Now At Village Toyota The 2017 Toyota 86 Sport Coupe, 2017 Corolla iM Hatchback, and plug-in/hybrid 2017 Toyota Prius Prime are just three of the many exciting, innovative, and expertly engineered new Toyotas arriving at your hometown Toyota new car dealership near Inverness and Spring Hill, FL.
